The J Plus Hotel Hong Kong (also known as the Jia Hotel) is an unmistakeably Philippe Starck hotel experience. Stylish yet kooky details abound – from the miniature lampshades that light up the room numbers, to the bar stools in the lobby where breakfast is served by morning and DJs play by night. If you have cause to stay in Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay, don’t pass by the Jia Hotel for an affordable but memorable boutique hotel experience.
For those that like to feel at home while travelling, the serviced apartment feel of the Jia Hotel rooms will suit you perfectly. Kitchenettes come with all rooms, and the suites feature comfortable living and dining space with a contemporary Asian style that will help you truly relax after a the high energy of the city.
The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. For dining tips to transport arrangements, make them your first port of call if you need a hand. Breakfast is a simple but elegant continental-style selection of pastries, fruit and cereal. During the day you can help yourself to water and juice and in the evenings wine is on offer before you step out into the night.
As far as value goes, the J Plus experience – particularly if you stay in the modestly-priced suite – is the best value in Causeway Bay, if not all of Hong Kong. I can’t wait to go back.
